Crispy Plain Swirls
Preparation
- Add the margarine, egg yolk, and Vegan crema to the flour mixed with baking powder and salt, then knead into a flexible dough using a mixer.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough out into a rectangle about 3 mm thick.
- Prepare the filling: mix the Plain cream, grated Plain, and paprika together.
- Spread the filling evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Roll up the sheet tightly.
- Wrap the log in aluminum foil and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours so it can firm up properly.
- Slice the cold dough log into thin slices (about the width of a matchstick)—use a wet knife! (The thinner the slice, the crispier the result will be.)
Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake until golden brown.
